About the Artist

Hi! I'm Maci (she/her)

I'm a Filipina American digital artist based in the Los Angeles area. I started mualcaina. back in November 2020 after I began a growing interest in vinyl stickers. I loved placing stickers on my water bottle, laptop, and notebooks. Growing up, I loved drawing, and had a ton of free time during the pandemic and realized I should design my own.

I named my shop "mualcaina." after my Animal Crossing New Horizons island, and added a period as a statement (just as how you would use a period at the end of a statement sentence.) I was obsessed playing ACNH, with its cute villagers and intricate layout, and had to pay homage to the island I played on for 1000+ hours. 

I'm a sucker for anime and cute things, and pins and stickers are no exception. I hope to make cute things (and hopefully expand to lanyards and clothing) that can make people smile the same way I feel when I look at them.

In 2022, it's my goal to be a vendor in at least 10 events. In January, I attended my first artist alley at Anime Los Angeles 17 at the Long Beach Convention Center. From here on out, I hope to see you all during my journey!
